Acumatica: Streamlining AP Bill Deletion
This video details a solution that Tayana Solutions developed for a client who needed to delete a large quantity of mistakenly created AP Bills in Acumatica.
(a) Challenges
- A client had accidentally created approximately 6,000 AP Bills in Acumatica and needed to delete them.
- In Acumatica, released bills cannot be deleted. The standard process requires manually reversing each bill, creating a debit adjustment, and then applying that adjustment to the original bill.
- Manually deleting 6,000 bills would be extremely time-consuming and inefficient.
(b) Solution and Benefits

- Reverse the AP Bills: This automated process creates a debit adjustment for each bill, initially placing the debit adjustments on hold.
- Release the Debit Adjustments: A second import scenario releases all the debit adjustments created in the previous step.
- Apply Debit Adjustments to AP Bills: The final import scenario applies the released debit adjustments to the corresponding AP bills, effectively deleting them.
